Overview of the Self-Study process

Âé¶¹Éç has launched a multi-year institutional self-study as part of its reaffirmation of accreditation with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). The process provides a valuable opportunity for the University to examine its effectiveness, celebrate achievements and identify opportunities to enhance programs, services, governance and planning.

Through inclusive participation and evidence-based analysis, the Self-Study will help shape the University’s future direction.

Key Milestones

  • Self-Study Design report due: January 2026
  • MSCHE Vice President Liaison Self-Study preparation Visit: April 2026
  • Evaluation team visit: Fall 2028
  • MSCHE reaffirmation decision: Spring 2029

Purpose of the Self-Study

The Middle States Self-Study is a comprehensive, University-wide evaluation that demonstrates how Âé¶¹Éç meets the MSCHE Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation. It also provides an opportunity to integrate institutional mission, strategic priorities, assessment practices and resource planning into a cohesive narrative about institutional quality and continuous improvement.
