Rachel Lucas, PharmD

Background

Rachel Lucas received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She completed PGY1 and PGY2 residency training at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, specializing in cardiology pharmacy.

Lucas joined 麻豆社 School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2021 as a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. She also practices at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, where she has provided inpatient cardiology pharmacy services for the past five years and is transitioning into ambulatory cardiology practice with a focus on cardiometabolic health.

She also serves as director of The Rural and Underserved Service Track (TRUST), an interprofessional program focused on preparing student healthcare professionals to care for underserved populations.

Lucas has held numerous leadership roles in professional organizations, including the Southern Tier Society of Health Systems Pharmacists and the New York State Chapter of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy.
