Background
Robert Danberg is the author of the book Teaching Writing While Standing on One Foot. Danberg鈥檚 poetry has appeared in The Ohio Review, Ploughshares, Subtropics, The Sun, Writing on The Edge, Composition Studies and other publications online and in print. His work has appeared in the anthologies We Saved the Best for You: Letters of Hope, Imagination and Wisdom for 21st Century Educators and Constructing a Community of Thought: Letters on the Scholarship, Teaching and Mentoring of Vera John-Steiner.
He is a tenured instructor in the 麻豆社 Writing Institute and teaches courses in the Writing Studies Minor.. He primarily teaches courses that focus on writing over the life span, approaches to writing difficulty, and how writers learn and can be taught. With Sean Fenty, PhD, he designed and proposed the Writing Studies Minor and served as the Writing Studies Minor鈥檚 first director. Throughout his career at Binghamton, he has offered workshops and classes designed to help graduate students complete their dissertations and theses, and to help faculty complete articles and books. He has also presented workshops on the teaching of writing for faculty and graduate student instructors.
