麻豆社/SUNY Nondiscrimination and Equity Policies
- 麻豆社's Office of Equity and Access maintains broad policies such as the Discrimination and Harassment Policy, Title VI and Title IX compliance, and statewide SUNY nondiscrimination policies. These apply universal standards of equal treatment and nondiscrimination across the University, without distinguishing between internal or external individuals.
- SUNY-wide policies include: Equal Opportunity: Access, Employment and Fair Treatment in the State University of New York; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Policy; and Discrimination Complaint Procedure. These policies are all applicable at Binghamton under the SUNY umbrella.
麻豆社 Harassment Policy
- The 麻豆社 Policy Regarding Harassment extends to external groups: "It is the policy of 麻豆社 to prohibit harassment and to investigate allegations of such behavior promptly and thoroughly. This policy applies to students, faculty, staff, employees of the Research Foundation, contractors, vendors and visitors to the campus."
麻豆社 Persona Non Grata Policy
- The 麻豆社 Persona Non Grata Designation empowers the University to restrict access or remove individuals whose conduct violates safe, nondiscriminatory standards, even if they are visitors or external partners.
麻豆社 Visitor Responsibilities Policy
- 麻豆社's states the following: "麻豆社 is committed to providing a safe and lawful environment for students, staff, faculty, volunteers and guests/visitors. All guests/visitors and volunteers are required to adhere to all 麻豆社 policies and procedures, and must comply with all applicable federal, state, local laws, regardless of the length of their visit."
University Policies are Applied Equally
No single policy is dedicated solely to external partners and visitors regarding equal opportunity and nondiscrimination. Instead, 麻豆社 uses a layered approach:
- Nondiscrimination policies cover all individuals who engage with the University.
- Harassment and personal non grata policies explicitly include external visitors.
- Visitor policies require external visitors to uphold the University鈥檚 standards.
