Distinguished Writers Series with Alexandra Kleeman

Alexandra Kleeman is the author of the novel Something New Under the Sun;ÌýIntimations, a short story collection; and the novel You Too Can Have A Body Like Mine, which was awarded the 2016 Bard Fiction Prize and was a New York Times Editor’s Choice. In 2020, she was awarded the Rome Prize and the Berlin Prize, and was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in Fiction in 2022. Her fiction has been published in the New Yorker, the Paris Review, Zoetrope, Conjunctions, and Guernica, among other publications, and her other writing has appeared in Harper's, the New York Times Magazine, VOGUE, Tin House, n+1, and the Guardian. She is an associate professor of English at Cornell University.

Stephanie Burt is a poet, literary critic, Harvard University English professor, and the author of numerous published books, including critical work on poetry and four poetry collections, including her latest, We Are Mermaids (Graywolf, 2022). Most recently, Burt is the author of Taylor’s Version: The Poetic and Musical Genius of Taylor Swift (Basic Books, 2025). The recipient of a 2016 Guggenheim Fellowship, her writing has appeared in the New Yorker, the New York Times Book Review, the London Review of Books, the Times Literary Supplement, the Believer, the Boston Review, and elsewhere. She served as co-editor of poetry for the Nation from 2017-2020

Nicole Santalucia is the author of the new poetry collection Lesbian Dinosaurs / Dinosaur Lesbians (Bordighera Press, 2026). Her other collections include The Book of Dirt (NYQ Books), Spoiled Meat (Headmistress Press), and Because I Did Not Die (Bordighera Press). Santalucia’s work has appeared or is forthcoming in the Indiana Review, the Colorado Review, the Los Angeles Review, the North American Review, the Rumpus, the Normal School, Out Magazine, and elsewhere. She is a professor of English and director of first-year writing at Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania.
